Fine Arts 1 – 0835CP Grades 9 – 12 1 Credit Full Year
Fine Art 1 is a full year entry level high school art course that incorporates MA Visual Art Standards and Studio Habits of Mind. The Fine Art 1 curriculum covers drawing, painting, and printmaking skills with an emphasis on developing observational skills. The course includes project-based assessments that encourage experimentation, risk-taking, and reflection. The curriculum also emphasizes diversity, equity, and inclusivity by exploring art from diverse perspectives and cultures.
